What a meeting!
The Reservoir Fisheries Habitat Partnership and Friends of Reservoirs enjoyed its 2025 Annual Meeting in Athens, Texas, at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center. Huge thanks to our hosts Tom Lang, Mike Homer, Natalie Goldman, and the numerous TFFC staff who made our meeting easy and fun. We also thank our incredible meeting sponsors and speakers, who presented a fantastic, practical workshop that I strongly recommend you review.
Their talks on eutrophication, sedimentation, and physical structured paired well with the pond demonstrations and tour afterward. The science of fish habitat is always changing and growing, and we truly appreciate the willingness of Friday's speakers to discuss the solutions they know to fish habitat work needs in a down-to-earth way.
Our presentations were, as usual, a wonderful mix of storytelling and science. We learn best from each other, what works and what doesn't, how to build in challenging environments, how to establish partnerships and coalition in a new place. Thank you to all of our speakers for what you bring to the meeting!
The meeting videos from the workshop and business meeting are also now available on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWaBIIGcmNYUbFy3rwxsybD9Dz-zre_NE. We will work to post presentations soon, so please let Rebecca know if you do not want your video posted.
