Through the help of Friends of Reservoirs small grant program, The Southeast Arkansas Crappie Federation was able to accomplish some valuable habitat projects. We accomplished construction of spawning beds on Lake Chicot. The partnership with Friends of Reservoirs and the Arkansas Game and Fish (AG&F) also included an improved hatchery operation for production of fingerling crappie. This fall, this should provide over 300,000 fish to Lake Chicot's natural habitat.

In addition to helping provide and place structures in Lake Chicot, we were also able to place structures on Grand Lake, a public lake in south Chicot County.
