The Reservoir Fisheries Habitat Partnership (RFHP) will be holding its 15th Annual Meeting October 17-19, 2025, at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center. Register now!

Getting to and from the Airport

We recommend folks fly into Tyler, Texas. We may be able to shuttle groups from Tyler to the Freshwater Fisheries Center.

Athens is about a 1 hour 45-minute drive from the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW). We are hoping to coordinate transportation for those possible and need to know your interest in attempting to carpool, your date/time of arrival, and your date/time of departure. Please email Doug directly if you want to try to carpool!

Room Reservation Method: All guests wanting to book within the block must call the hotel directly at 903-675-2500.  During the booking process they will be asked to place a card on the reservation. This card will not be charged until the day of arrival. Please also be mindful that any cancellations will have to be made by 6pm the day before arrival, if not the guest will be charged.
